Zedd Feat. Foxes - Clarity (Cephas Remix)
Man on man do we have a special remix of Zedd’s timeless ‘Clarity’ for you today brought to you by none other than the brilliant Cephas. The extremely young and talented producer has just been recently added to the Affinity Ascension network and we couldn’t be more glad to have him with us. The original ‘Clarity’ has been around the block for close to 10 years now and many musicians have taken a shot at putting their own spin on the piece. It'‘s a true challenge to outshine bangers that are world renowned; however, as bold of a move as it may be to sling a remix on such a famous track, if done properly you can really showcase what you bring to the table as an artist. Cephas did exactly this and he is now forever cemented on our roster because of it. His remix of ‘Clarity’ opens up with the promised luscious vocals of Foxes and soon later enters a bodacious build up right after the minute mark. Where you find yourself then is completely unexpected so prepare yourself for what’s to come. I’ll tell you this, I have not heard such a heavy drop worked into such contrast with pop-edm vibes in recent time such as with what we have here. As much as the drop is unexpected, it’s fluid and works very very well and because of the surprise, it makes for such an overwhelmingly delightful experience.
We love all genres for the most part over here on the Affinity Ascension network but hard drops are our specialty. This ‘Clarity’ remix from front to back is notable because the production mastery is apparent within both of the differentiating bold drops in the first and second half of the piece. Why we love and appreciate Cephas outside of the quality he synthesizes is due to his ability and knowledge on how to spice it up with some ground shaking variation. Many artists like to repeat their drops. If you want to make a stand, be like Cephas and don’t take the easy way out. Stand in the face of adversity where ever you possibly can because it will bring you god level results such as in the case of this remix.
