Band of Horses – The Funeral (Echos Remix)
Today’s track is difficult to discuss in words because it’s a complete and utter banger and bangers sometimes are better off simply listened to then discussed about why they should be listened to. If you’re into dubstep backed by wondrous vocals then you must check this piece out titled “The Funeral”, a cover that Echos did for Band of Horses.
Illenium Ft. Annika Wells – Crawl Outta Love
This particular track of his dives in on the difficulties of exiting a relationship that one has become so deeply entangled in that it’s nearly impossible to leave it behind for good. The experience of love is a special journey that one must be extremely thankful for if they are fortunate enough to immerse themselves in everything it bares.
XYLO – Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (Skrux Remix)
Skrux is a master at making music, plain and simple. Four years ago he remixed an intensely introspective piece titled “Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea”, the original by XYLO. This track features some of the most incredible vocals I have personally ever listened to.
Big Wild – Pale Blue Dot
It’s essentially a unique trap beat of sorts perfect for a rave, but one that would vibe equally as well in a small club like Echostage in DC. Iv’e had this in my gym playlist for a minute now and it fits into my routine perfectly so if you’re looking for some tracks to get down to this might be a right fit for you.
Crystal Skies – Feels Right Ft. RUNN
When the track opens up one can already tell within the first 10 seconds of the track that it’s going to hit home on all ends of the emotional spectrum and it certainly does pull through sure enough. The build up encompasses vocals that not only sound like pure ecstasy, they also carry meaning that fills the heart and soul.
Zeds Dead & REZZ – Into The Abyss
Have a listen to this collab for yourself as it will surely get your wheels turning. It’s deep and full of spark, perfect if you are at home quarantined looking to bang out a few sets on that iron gym that’s been sitting under your bed in the abyss for the past year. It’s time to bust that thing out finally and go to town.
Goldroom – Spread Love
The beautiful piece of art encompasses some astounding vocal work alongside some just as great production. One can’t help but feel their best self after listening to such a great song so I encourage you to do just that, especially if you are feeling anything but joyous today!
Nora En Pure – Lake Arrowhead (Original Mix)
There’s going to be a point in time when this track comes on during summer 2020 where i’ll be sipping on one of the most tasty Pina Coladas known to man kind and gulls will be flying over head during a stroll down the shore line. That’s the day when life will be complete.
SNBRN & BLU J – You Got Me Ft. Cara Frew
Upon entering into this piece we are welcomed with the sultry female vocals of Cara Frew and they reign supreme as the jam plays out. When you start to wonder what the singer looks like in person you know you have some good vocals on your hands, and that’s precisely what’s happening as “You Got Me” continues to crank on the speakers.
Robert Firth x Adriana Lucia – Suddenly (Radio Edit)
Iv’e been cruising all over the place to this banger for a while now and I can tell you right now it will never ever get old. The vocal match up is so in sync with the main beat coming in it that one can’t help but throw on their dance shoes in order to go hit the strip downtown!
goldy47 – Pull Up
The track goes by the name “Pull Up” and it was crafted by goldy47, a low-key artist based out of Solothurn, Switzerland. It’s one of those jams that make you want to run the trap then sail off in a yacht through the West Pacific at sun set.
Jason Ross x Dabin – One That Got Away Ft. Dylan Matthew
There are songs that cross my path once in a while that leave me completely jaw dropped, so this week I’d like to give a shout out to Jason Ross & Dabin for doing just that. I was a little late on the find of their release “One That Got Away” as it came out just before 2020 hit, but I’m so glad it found its way onto my lap.
Zeds Dead & DNMO – Save My Grave Ft. GG Magree
As the audience switches on their headset, they are immediately encountered by that deep fathoming bass Zeds Dead is so well known for. Tied along with GG Magrees affecting vocal work, we soon find ourselves on a journey that we wish will never end.
INZO – Overthinker
Mixed with hard hitting synths and house shaking bass at a mid tempo, this track has become a piece that’s simply much too delicious to not have a taste. INZO made it on to the top 40 artists to watch for the new year and it’s clear why. The intricacies of his music speak volumes that leave us in awe.
San Holo ft. Taska Black – Right Here Right Now (Midnight Kids Remix)
That’s one of the beauties of remixes as they help unearth originals that may have permanently stayed deep below the surface. Especially in a time when more music is accessible than ever before . We wanted to highlight this piece as it’s a truly special song that can actually make the listener feel something special within.
Linkin Park – Shadow Of The Day (Echos Cover)
Echos put a powerful spin on a classic I’ve loved since its initial release. Give this song a listen through to the finish, as it was certainly the most moving part for us. Linkin Park has had a profound effect on the way Echos craft their music and I think this cover did the original justice.
RL Grime – Atoms Ft. Jeremy Zucker
There are songs in life that are so magical they cement themselves in time as life itself. Since we’ve been on an RL Grime rampage as of late why not feature yet another one of his works! So without further ado, I present to you “Atoms” by the notorious RL Grime.
Blackmill – Evil Beauty
f one wishes to melodically transcend they should refer to the piece titled “Evil Beauty” by Blackmill, one of chillest artists known in present time. The track is coming up on a decade of age but it still holds a dumb founding presence within the music community.
Proximity – Best EDM of 2010-2019 (Decade Mix)
Boy oh boy do we have a massive decade mix that’s going to take the listener on a mental and auditory rollercoaster as we blast through the past of EDM hits and classics, which for many are the cornerstone of their music discovery experience.
Absofacto – Dissolve
Known elusively as Jonathan Visger, the talented musician started sparking up his career down over in Michigan, to soon then take over the indie rock scene in early 2008. “Dissolve” happened to be one of his stand along singles just like “History Books” another great work of his I’d recommend.
